26 May 2007 – Sydney to Parkes

We left home just after 9.00am and called into Concord to see Mum. After a brief stop, we motored in light traffic to Wentworth Falls where we stopped for coffee and Danish treats at a local coffee shop (we are starting to become regulars at this establishment). Next stop was just short of Bathurst where a driver change took place. “She” then drove to the point of our overnight stay at the council owned, Spicer Park Caravan Park. Here we had booked a site with an ensuite. It was very good for a council owned and operated Park.

After check-in, we visited the local tourist information site and filled the motor-home with diesel. We visited an alpaca farms and met a lovely couple. Maree provided information for our daughter-in-law and we gave Maree and her husband a quick tour of the motor-home. We returned to the Caravan Park in the dark where we had BBQ steak, onions and salad for tea.
