30 September 2010
This was our last day on the safari.
We shared a cooked breakfast before saying our goodbyes. Unlike other WRVC events, we did not have a hollow feeling as we know we will see a lot of our new friends again either at the Victorian Christmas Party that we will attend in November of at other events in 2011.
We were the third last to leave as we really had no idea where we were going. We did stop in Parkes for a short time before heading to Forbes where we stopped at the Forbes Outdoor and Leisure Centre. This is a great camping shop and the source of several items we have not been able to purchase in Sydney.
After leaving Forbes we decided to commence our journey home and decided to stop at Bathurst for the night. It would be appropriate having our last night at Bathurst as we had our first night there three weeks ago. We stopped at the Mercedes Dealer at Orange and spoke with our friends who had been waiting all day to have someone look at their motor home. They were becoming depressed and we can only hope that our short stay made things easier. Later in the day we did receive a phone call with the good news that their motor home had been fixed. It had taken 5 minutes and a $50 part to solve their problem. Indeed that was good news.
We had a BBQ for our last night, watched television and went to bed with the doona on. It was cold.
1 October 2010
We were up early as we had decided to stop at Winnebago at Emu Plains to purchase some replacement struts for our cupboards.
We arrived there at 10:30am, purchased the parts and spoke to WRVC staff. We also stopped at Sydney RV Centre at Penrith to say hello to a friend.
We were safely home at 4:00pm.
We will place photographs of the safari on this site shortly.
