27 July 2011 – Undara QLD

The only activity booked today was a 3:30pm tour to the lava tubes followed by dinner in the local restaurant.

We started our day with bacon and eggs (absolutely enjoyable and it started a trend with other campers) and then had a lazy morning talking with other members of our group and looking at the photographs taken to this point of the trip.  We did not have an internet connection so we were not able to upload any blog entries.

After lunch we packed photo gear into a bag and headed to join our 3:30pm tour.

We visited three lava tubes and can now say that we have enjoyed this unique experience.  Due to the isolation of Undara, there are not a lot of visitors and the operators are offering a 20% discount across the board to locals who visit the park.  The experience is unique and the lava tubes are fascinating.

We enjoyed an evening meal together at the resort restaurant as a group knowing that we would be parting company the next day.
