26 May 2012 – Kerang to Mildura VIC

Due to the relative low overnight temperatures, we have been sleeping well.  Once again we decided not to set the alarm knowing that we only had a drive of just over 3 hours to Mildura where we were staying until Monday.

We were informed by another occupant of the caravan park that the Great Ocean Road had received some bad weather so our decision to head north was vindicated.

After bidding farewell to our friends, we left the caravan park at 10:00am.

We set no speed records with our trip to Mildura and stopped at Swan Hill for morning tea and also took the time to book a caravan park at Mildura and also make a booking for the Iveco for a wheel alignment on Monday.

We arrived at Mildura just after 2:00pm, visited the local tourist information centre and then checked into the caravan park.  The first site they gave up had low tress so we were forced to move onto the adjacent site.

We visited a local gem dealer “Woodies” where we purchased onyx chess set before heading back to the caravan park.  Our final task for the day was to visit Woolworths to refill our refrigerator and we were lazy and purchased a pizza for tea.
