It was actually warm when we ventured out of the door of the caravan to head to the nearby township of Kadina where we intended to have morning tea at McDonalds and to take advantage of free WIFI.
That done we headed to Moonta where we intended to visit the Tourist Railway at the Moonta Mines Museum. We were a little early for our 1pm train ride but passed the time talking to a couple of gentlemen who were volunteers at the Museum. It was while we were waiting for the train that we caught up with other friends who are members of the Hilltops Rangers and who are currently travelling in South Australia.
We all went on the train ride which takes you through different parts of the area that once was a copper mine. The driver was very informative with commentary as we travelled over the five kilometres of track.
Later that afternoon we drove around the historic sites and “He” was able to use the quad copter to add to the photographs we had taken from ground level. As we already knew, the quad copter will prove to be a very useful tool to enhance our photographic exploits.
We had our evening meal at a small restaurant in Wallaroo called “Pier One”. The food was great with all of us having seafood.
