18th May 2014 – Narrandera to Sydney NSW

With only a relatively short trip planned for today, we set the alarm for 7:00am. By the time we ventured out of the door, several of our neighbours had already departed. With the time saved from leaving the car hitched, we were ready to leave at 8:30am.

Whilst “She” had a final comfort stop before leaving, “He” punched our home address into the GPS to see how long it would take to drive home. Much to his surprise, the arrival time back in Sydney (without stops) was just before 3:00pm. Tempting, but no!

It did not take us long to get to Wagga Wagga where we refuelled. We also completed our circle just before Wagga Wagga when we passed the turnoff to the Olympic Highway, where we had travelled down almost a month ago.

We had a great run after Wagga Wagga and were nearing Gundagai, our next stop, just before 11:00am. It was at this time we decided to continue on and possibly stay at Canberra and leave a short drive home on the following day.

We stopped for lunch at Yass and refuelled the Navara.

By the time we reached the Canberra turnoff we had decided to continue home and that is what we did, arriving home at 3:30pm.
