“He” spent the first part of the day finalising our setup with the extension of our awning and installation of various sun shelter screens. Also planned for today was the lighting of the awning with LED lights recently purchased from ALDI. The installation went fine but one of the controllers blew immediately the power was switched on.
“He” attempted to return the lights “without a receipt” at the local ALDI store but they would only refund the current price which was $60. These lights were originally sold for $200, we purchased them “on special” for $99 and now they are only worth $60. The reduction in price says a lot for the lights. “He” elected not to return the lights but to try to fix them. After returning to the campsite, “He” discovered that a fuse in the lights power supply had blown and “He” was able to get the lights working again after replacing the fuse.
The remainder of those attending the ACC Sydney City Slickers muster arrived during the course of the day.
The temperature at our campsite was high with the mercury heading over the 30-degree mark. Thanks to a gentle sea breeze and our air conditioning running continually for about 12 hours, the caravan was very comfortable.
“He” was involved in the cooking of our evening meal, which comprised a sausage sizzle for the 62 people who were present for the muster. There were no complaints with the sausages enjoyed by all.
We retired to the caravan early and “He” spent the remainder of the evening watching cricket.
