18 November 2014 – Toowoon Bay to Budgewoi NSW

Today is was our turn to say goodbye. Four of the remaining couple (including us) departed during the morning.

Today we had our shortest drive since owning an RV, a mere 17 kilometres to the north and to the Budgewoi Holiday Park where we would be joining another ACC Branch for their Christmas Party.

We had intended heading towards Bathurst on Monday and then on to Trunkey Creek for a CMCA Chapter meeting. That meeting had been cancelled (lack of interest) and the invitation to join the ACC Sydney Explorers had been welcomed by us. We had been at the first meeting of the ACC Sydney Explorers so the opportunity to attend their Christmas Party and watch their AGM was fitting.

We arrived at Budgewoi just after 10:30am and were fortunate that our site was free. We were joined shortly thereafter by other members of the ACC Sydney Slickers (they were the ones who actually invited us to attend the ACC Sydney Explorers Christmas Party). We were given adjacent sites and spent the remainder of the morning going through our setup procedure.

The girls went shopping before lunch as we had agreed to share the cost of a roast that our friend would cook in their small spit. “She” also managed to use our washing machine a washed two loads of clothes.

We had a very lazy afternoon talking before happy hour. We were joined by the first ACC Sydney Explorers to arrive and they also joined us for the evening meal. We enjoyed coffee with our neighbours before retiring for the night.
