28 – 30 November 2014 – Binalong NSW

Our reason for travelling to Binalong was to join a CMCA chapter for Christmas dinner and the annual AGM.

As has been the case in previous visits to Binalong, the weather was warm especially when we did not have power to run our air conditioning in the caravan. “He” was still far from well and spent part of our stay in Binalong asleep.

Friday was a quiet day spent in and around the campsite. “He” flew the quad copter late in the day and took some excellent footage of Binalong and the surrounding area.

On Saturday, we had our Christmas dinner in the Binalong Hotel. The proprietor of the hotel goes out of her way to serve us and excellent meal. This year there was a choice of either port or turkey. We both had the pork and the meal was so big that “He” was unable to finish his meal. We had a good evening.

The chapter held its AGM on Sunday which went for about 90 minutes. Sunday was extremely hot and we all suffered sitting in a shed whilst the AGM took place. Late that day we were on the edge of a large storm which cooled the conditions at the camp site. After the storm finished, we went for a drive in our car endeavouring to find a Telstra signal for our mobile phones. Eventually we were able to make a phone call home.

With rain still falling, we headed to bed early.
