We had decided to have a quiet day so it was no surprise when we decided to vacate our warm bed around 8:30am.
After breakfast we uploaded all of our photographs to our laptop and spent time admiring our handy work. Whilst this was happening, “He” was content to watch a black and white movie called “The Sound Barrier”.
Just before lunch, “He” decided to clean out the back of the Navara assuming that the back would be full of dust from the off-road driving we have done so far on this trip. Much to our surprise, there was very little dust in the back and that is due to some more seals added to the rear tailgate just before we left Sydney.
“He” also had a quick meeting with another branch member who is co-hosting a tagalong to Central Australia next year.
After lunch the Navara was repacked and a photograph taken as it now looks like “He” has found the perfect way to pack the rear of the car.
Later in the afternoon we both showered before going to the Broken Hill Musicians Club for our evening meal.
We returned in time to see the Sydney Swans defeat Hawthorn by four points.
This was our last full day in Broken Hill and our stay at the racecourse was a real surprise. Whilst there are only two showers on the site, that is not a problem for most RV’s. We were more than happy to use our van shower. There are ample toilets on site and they are kept clean. Paper towels are supplied as well as hand wash. We had access to connected water but the power was only 10amp and a suitable adapter was required. We also had access to wood and a fire pit each night. Overall, an enjoyable stay and thanks to the caretaker, Sam and her hubby.
