We did not have a long drive today but still decided to depart at 8:30am. The weather was threatening but we managed to go through our departure setup without getting wet.
The road from Lake Cargelligo to Condobolin was actually rough but was travelled without much traffic about. We passed the caravan park at Condobolin that was actually planned for a stay and decided that we would have to stay there sometime in the future. We stopped for morning tea at Condobolin. “He” had a Ned Kelly pie from the local bakery but the pie was not up to the standard set for the same type of pie at the bakery in Tenterfield in Northern NSW.
The final part of the trip from Condobolin to Parkes was without any issues and just before 12:15pm, we were finding spots and setting up in the Spicer Park Caravan Park in Parkes NSW. We had to move as our original spot was not level and we could not reach the ground with the front stabilizers. Eventually we relocated to a nice flat grassy spot.
Later in the afternoon we went shopping in Parkes before returning for happy hour and a nice roaring fire. We cooked in the camp kitchen before “He” retired to watch the Swans defeat Carlton.
