24 March 2016 – Wagga Wagga NSW – Stone The Crows Festival

The forecast for today was for overcast skies.  As we sat at our table having breakfast, it rained but just enough to settle the dust.

As we have done since we became involved with this festival, we attended the morning show where we were entertained by Jim Haynes and then Pete Denahy.

We made a quick trip into Wagga before returning to undertake volunteer duties.

Later in the afternoon, “He” had the opportunity to try clay target shooting.  In fact, 60 of our group participated.  We can report that “He” did not harm any of the eight clay targets that “He” attempted to shoot.  It was actually far more difficult than it looks.

We had a quite happy hour before cooking tea.

We went to the evening show where we enjoyed performances from John Smith, Jim Haynes, Grant Luhrs, Bill Daglish (one of our group who has just launched an album) and finally Mel & Susie.  The concert was excellent entertainment and appeared to be enjoyed by all.

Upon returning to our caravan we were surprised to see a movie called “Backyard Ashes” on television.  This movie was shot in Wagga Wagga and features a song written by Grant Luhrs who also has a small talking part in the movie.  How appropriate!
