The run from Derby to Broome is relatively short so we set a 9:00am departure time.
Before leaving we said a final farewell to our friends.
Other than having our new windscreen hit by another rock, actually it was a shower of rocks from a passing truck (we have a hole that will need to be fixed), the trip to Broome was uneventful. The country side is changing and we are now seeing less and less boab trees. Not far from Derby with did encounter four cattle that decided to cross the road in front of us. So far on this trip any cattle that we have seen have remained on the side of the road, but not today. We did have to brake reasonably hard but were well clear of the animals.
It took some time to get into the caravan park that we understand has about 500 sites. Broome is very busy and the caravan park is full.
We took our friends shopping in the afternoon. We were after some spare parts for our caravan door but were unsuccessful. We will try again in Perth. At was during this trip that we noticed another stone chip in our windscreen. Whilst the chip is only small, a call was made to O’Brien Glass to have it filled so it will not expand.
We returned just in time for happy hour and then ordered a pizza for our evening meal.
