We were up just after 6:00am and departed the caravan park at 8:00am.
The drive today was long and boring. We almost had an encounter with two wallabies who crossed our path with neither of the wallabies appearing to be effected by our kangaroo whistles. We also saw a couple of very large herds of cattle muster for their final trip in a truck. We also passed several free camps that were well appointed.
Lunch and fuel was at a roadhouse called Sandfire located some 300+k’s from Broome. After lunch we travelled the final 125k’s to another roadhouse called Pardoo where we booked into the caravan park. We were given a shady spot.
This roadhouse has new owners and they have a goal, that they are likely to achieve, to improve their operation. Reports are that improvements have already been made that have been duly noted by various travellers.
After happy hour we had dinner in the roadhouse. We were in bed relatively early.
