We slept well but “She” woke feeling that another cold was in the making.
We were away just after 8:30am continuing out trip to the south. We had decided to leave the main highway today and head to the coast and the holiday township of Coral Bay.
Coral Bay is described as a “marine paradise in the Ningaloo region of Australia and is one of WA’s (Western Australia’s) favourite holiday spots. With beautiful coral gardens just metres from the pristine white beaches of this tiny, laidback seaside town, it’s a nature lover’s dream”.
We arrived at the caravan park at lunchtime and were allocated our unpowered site. Cost was $41 whilst powered sites were $45. This place is packed. As described above, this place is a holiday mecca. It is still hard to believe we are still in the middle of winter especially when you see people swimming and sunbaking on the beach. Standard dress is shorts and tee shirts for the guys, swimmers for the girls.
We had a walk on the beach in the afternoon and were able to take photographs of the pristine beach and the surrounding water. Absolutely beautiful.
“He” spent part of the afternoon configuring a new satellite finder (“He” was able to make it work) before we all enjoyed happy hour. Steak and salad for tea followed by some television via the satellite dish.
