3 August 2016 – Cervantes to Munster (Perth) WA

It was cold overnight but we were both comfortable under our doona.

Today the cloud had rolled in and the weather looked threatening.  The forecast for Perth included the word “rain”.

We left the caravan park before nine and stopped at the “Lobster Shack” where we purchased fresh prawns and some lobster medallions. Fuel was next then a right hand turn towards Perth.  We did have a cross wind but it only impacted us for a short time.

Today we were passed small car that had crossed over a solid line on a right hand bend with very little visibility.  Unfortunately, we did not capture the move on the dash cam (technical issue involving the wrong date when the device was setup (now fixed)) as we would have probably referred it to the relevant authority.  Had a vehicle been coming in the opposite direction, there would have been a nasty accident and we would have been involved.  We cannot understand how these people ever get a driver’s licence.

We stopped at a café on the beach in Yanchep and then said goodbye to our friends who were going to visit relatives.  We will join them again in the weekend after we leave Perth.

We stayed on freeways until we passed the Perth CBD and then took side roads until we arrived at the caravan park south of Freemantle.

We did a quick shop late in the afternoon before enjoying our prawns for our evening meal.
