29 October 2016 – West Wyalong NSW

Our stay in West Wyalong coincided with an annual festival, the 2016 theme being “India comes to the west”.

We all headed into town early and enjoyed coffee before watching a parade down the main street.  “He” used the opportunity to shoot some video whilst watching a Phantom 3 drone however overhead recording the event.

There was to be a food festival and other events in one on the parks but when we learnt that there was an entry cost involved, we decided to give it a miss.

After lunch we returned to Wyalong and located the church where we had attended a wedding.  We also found the family home of the bride.

“He” flew the quad copter in the afternoon and captured video of the showground / racetrack and also of some rustic building on the site.

We had a lazy happy hour and then enjoyed our evening meal with the group.

“He” did a low-level flight with the quad at sunset and was able to capture the colours as the sun set in the west.

Again, we played music late into the night
