We were up fairly early and departed the caravan park just after 8:00am.
In splendid weather conditions we had an uneventful return trip to Sydney (with one exception) arriving home just after midday.
The one exception involved two tourist coaches near Mittagong. Coach number one was travelling at 100kph when coach number two decided to pass. The passing manoeuvre was far from rapid and ended up with a stream of traffic (in the fast lane) sitting close to each other waiting for the bus to pass. More surprising was the fact that the coaches were from the same company. What was achieved by passing, well we don’t know other than the fact we experience dangerous conditions at high speed whilst bus two passed bus one.
We had no problems reversing the caravan into our drive as we arrived home at what we call our “sweet spot” (just after lunch and before school finishes).
