We woke at 5:59am and the alarm sounded one minute later.
“He” had a quick breakfast and just after 7:00am, “He” joined two other members of our group and paddled the kayak onto Lake Keepit. The paddle lasted for about one hour.
We then went for a walk with another couple and whilst we were away, we decided to explore the surrounds together.
The is a gliding club within the park boundaries and that is where we headed. Stopping near the gliding club office to take some pictures, one of the instructors spoke to us and suggested we relocate close to their launch point and where there was parking and shelter available. And that is what we did. We stayed for close to an hour, watching the tug aircraft launch the gliders and then we watched their return. The morning turned out to be informative and enjoyable.
On our return to our camp site, we decided to have a look at the main dam that holds back Lake Keepit. It was during the drive to the dam that we received a telephone call and were told of the passing of one of our branch members.
After lunch we spent time talking to our friends and we participated in several games including boules and finska. We played finska during happy hour.
After happy hour we all adjourned to the camp kitchen where once again, we cooked our evening meal and then ate with all of the other members of our group.
We watched television after returning to our caravan. We are packed and ready for an early departure tomorrow.
