28 October 2017 – Cudgegong (Lake Windamere) to Wallerawang (Lake Wallace) NSW

We set our alarm for 6:30am so we could take our time and be ready for an 8:30am departure.  The day started with clear skies but was soon replaced with cloud cover.  Fortunately the cloud was not rain bearing.

We were ready to leave well before 8:30am and we lead the group off.

The car did not display the recent problem so we can only hope that it has been resolved.  The drive today took us just under 1.5 hours and we travelled through undulating country.  It was a very pleasant morning.

We all arrived at Lake Wallace together and we soon found a suitable site.  Our group actually split in two as several members wanted to camp adjacent to the lake.

We had another branch member join us soon after we arrived.

We spent the morning and afternoon talking and had a game of boules in the afternoon.  We also have a very quick happy hour before we all headed to the Commercial Hotel in Wallerawang for our evening meal.  The hotel was celebrating Halloween with all of the staff dressed accordingly.  There was mixed reactions about the meals with several items on the menu running out very quickly.  As an example, the only had two mixed grills available and also had a shortage of lamb cutlets.

We returned to our camp site before 9:00pm and we sat outside talking for a short time.

We were in bed by 10:00pm.
