With most duties performed, “He” had a relatively quiet day.
During the morning a visit was made to a motor dealership, Thomas Bros, who were providing a loan car for the duration of the festival. “He” provided his driver’s licence for the vehicle and drove the loan car, a Jeep Patriot, back to the festival site. “He” was extremely impressed with the Jeep as it was a real surprise to drive.
Late in the morning the Nissan Dealer reconfirmed the nature of the problems with the Nissan Navara and also confirmed that parts had now been ordered and were expected to be received next Tuesday.
All of the volunteers met in the afternoon and were presented with name badges, lanyards, volunteer shirts and a show bag. We also enjoyed an evening meal (hamburgers) that was provided by the local Lions Club and desert by some of the volunteers.
At 8:15pm, “He” went to the airport and met the evening flight from Sydney. “She” had attended the funeral of our relative before flying to Wagga Wagga. We decided not to see friends that evening and instead spent time talking about the events that had impacted us over recent weeks. It was good to be reunited again.
We had an early night, both exhausted from earlier events.
