15 February 2019 – Culburra Beach NSW

Late yesterday afternoon and during the early evening, the Botany Bay Fishing Club arrived and setup camp.  The caravan park was transformed from a very quiet location to a hive of activity with many young, and a little older, children accompanying the fishing group. We expected a lot of noise but that did not really eventuate.

We watched television, actually the last DVD from “Caravan & Motorhome on Tour”, until just after midnight.  Going to bed late ensured we had a solid sleep as we were both tired when our heads hit the pillow.

We awoke to another perfect day on the South Coast with clear skies and the temperature expected to rise to the high 20’s.

“He” spent part of the morning repacking the car and we both took advantage of a quiet amenities block to have an early shower and wash our hair.

Later in the morning we headed to the local Woolworths where we resupplied our essential groceries.  We have also located several different variants of coffee that we have not seen in Sydney and accordingly, they have been purchased and will be transported home.

We had a quiet afternoon enjoying the air conditioning and looking for more water under our bed.  We haven’t seen any more water and can only assume that we have been running the air conditioning too cold.  We still need to have it checked as we should have seen the amount of condensation on the pipes as we did the other day.

“He” also managed to close his eyes for a short time during the afternoon.

We enjoyed happy hour with our group and that was followed by the group sharing pizza from a local establishment.  The pizza had to rate as almost the best ever.

We spent a long time talking to a couple and their children who arrived today and are camped behind us.  We eventually returned to the inside of our caravan well after 9:00pm.
