27 April 2019 – Jugiong NSW to the Canberra ACT

We made our way out of bed at 7:00am, just as the sun came up over the horizon.  The outside temperature was low but much to our surprise, the temperature inside the caravan was around 10 degrees.  With the roof blinds open, it didn’t take long for the sun to warm the inside the interior of the caravan.

After breakfast, we met a couple who owned the same model caravan as us who were having their first night free camping.  They were very happy with the caravan and we were able to give them some pointers.

We were not really in any hurry and left Jugiong just after 10:00am.

We had an easy drive to Canberra and to our accommodation at the Alivio Tourist Park which is located on the northern side of Canberra and not far from Black Mountain.

After doing our setup and enjoying lunch, we decided to have a quiet afternoon but that was after a trip to Woolworths for groceries and BWS for some essential refreshments.

We had our evening meal in the bistro at the caravan park.

With lots of young adults in the caravan park (there was a music festival on Sunday), we stayed “at home” for the remainder of the evening.
