We left Seymour in convoy and travelled up the Hume Highway to Benalla where we stopped for morning tea and a walk around the town.
There are many murals in Benalla including some of the best that we have seen. It was very warm, and our bodies are wondering what is going on when considering the weather, we have experiences over the past two weeks. Unfortunately, we were not running our crash camera in Benalla as it would have captured a near miss. “He” hesitated as we were making a right-hand turn at a set of traffic and this was a very good move as a vehicle coming in the opposite direction ran a red light.
As one of our group was having trouble with his vehicle, we had made it known that should he need to stop, we would stay with him until he became mobile. Shortly after leaving Benalla our friends car experienced the problem that it has been happening, so we stopped just short of the turnoff to Glenrowan. A fuse was replaced but blew again as soon as we returned to the highway. After stopping for the second time and a couple of fuse changes, we re-joined the highway and headed towards our next destination, Beechworth.
The caravan park at Beechworth was several kilometres out of town and was nestled in a valley. We were given cables connected to a television antenna as that was the only way that television was available. We believe that we have a good television and antenna, but we could not find a signal. We had to buy an adapter to make the connected cable work as we had every adapter except the one, we needed.
We enjoyed a happy hour in the shade and that was followed by dinner outside.
