Our day started with a drive to Borenore Caves located about 18klm west of Orange.
We explored the cave, took many photographs and then “He” flew the drone to get a different perspective of the cave and the surrounding area.
We visited Mt Canobolas which is said to be the highest point between Orange and the India Ocean off Western Australia. The dust clouds that we experienced yesterday were gone and we were provided with a clear view of Orange and the surrounding countryside.
After leaving Mt Canobolas we stopped at Lake Canobolas where we enjoyed a walk cross the dam wall that holds the lake back. We also had a late morning tea in the tea rooms adjacent to the lake.
Heading back into Orange, we stopped to purchase groceries before returning to the caravan park where we stayed for the remainder of the day.
The group enjoyed happy hour before having our evening meal in the open. With the reduction in the air temperature, it was very pleasant outside.
