The weather was no better than the previous day with the strong wind and cloud cover present.
We said our goodbyes and departed close to 9:00am.
We refuelled at Katoomba, were able to take a photograph of the helicopter that was water bombing the fire and then had a steady trip down the mountains and then the M4 to our home. Our fuel consumption on the return journey was less than 10 litres each 100 kilometres.
We parked the caravan inside our driveway knowing that it will be several months before we have another adventure in the caravan.
