9 October 2019 – Gundagai NSW to Seymour Vic

It was 4 degrees this morning when we hooked the caravan to the car.  The temperature didn’t rise above10 degrees for several hours.

We departed just before 8:00am stopping shortly thereafter (at Gundagai South) to refuel the Navara.  Diesel prices are still reasonable and a lot lower than what we expected.

We continued our trip south on the Hume Highway in light traffic.  We left the Hume Highway at the Sturt Highway turnoff and then headed towards Wagga Wagga.

We had arranged to visit friends today and told them we would arrive somewhere between 9:30 and 10:00am.  We arrived at 9:45am after stopping at Uranquinty to purchase morning tea from the bakery.

Whilst visiting our friends, “He” was able to fly our drone and take photographs of the buildings on the property and also of a mob of sheep.  “He” was also able to get a small drone that our friends owned up into the air for the first time.

We left “The Rock” just before midday and continued our journey south on the Olympic Highway stopping at a rest area at Henty where we enjoyed sandwiches and ice coffee for our lunch.

Later in the day we crossed the border into Victoria and stopped just short of the Glenrowan township for our second fuel stop of the day.

Prior to arriving at our overnight stop at a caravan park in Seymour, we stopped at Target Country in Seymour where we were able to purchase a fleecy top for “Him”.

We had a long drive today arriving at our destination 8.5 hours after leaving this morning including our stop on the way to see friends. Thanks Judy & John for your hospitality this morning.
