For our first sleep in the caravan in almost 12 months, we both slept reasonably well.  It was a little hot under a quilt, but it was bearable.  “He” was awake before 6:00am trying to analyse why the refrigerator had not functioned as expected.

We were up at 7:00am and enjoyed our first breakfast this year in the caravan.

After breakfast, “He” decided to pull apart the plug that connects the car to- the caravan.  The wires in the first side of the plug were fine, however, as soon as the cover on the second side was removed, a disconnected wire was observed.  Reference to the wiring diagram for the plug revealed that the wire was responsible for power to the refrigerator.  The screw that holds the wire in place was not to be seen.

“He” was joined by one of our friends and a little time later, the wire had been reconnected using the screw from an unused connector.  Another suspect connection on the second side of the plug was soldered and re-connected.  A further check of another cable revealed that a lug in the Anderson plug had come forward and would not have made a connection with the other side.  Again, this plug has something to do with providing power to the refrigerator.

One of our group spent a long time looking at our caravan.  They have limited space at their residence and our caravan is the perfect length.

Late in the morning we drove into Ulladulla stopping at Bunnings to purchase some cable ties and to look for a water flow meter.  We found the cable ties but no water flow meter.  Next stop was at Coles where we purchased food for the next couple of days.

Returning to our camp site, we had lunch.

“He” spent part of the afternoon using the cable ties to secure cables under the caravan and around the drawbar.  “She” went for a walk visiting some of our friends.

We spent part of the afternoon talking to other members of our group until the entire group got together for another happy hour.  Every attempt is being made to ensure that social distancing is being observed.

We had our evening meal in the Ulladulla Ex Services Club before returning to our caravan to watch the 3rdState of Origin game.  Pity about the result.

We have placed a lighter blanket on the bed for tonight so hopefully it will be a little cooler than last night.
