Today we were moving to a new location, however, once again, the sound of birds chirping welcomed us into a new day. We have become accustomed to waking early and then dozing until our alarm sounded at 7:00am.
With 15 Rv’s attending this muster, plans were made for the group to depart in 3 groups of 4 and 1 group of 3. We were part of the group of 3 and last to leave.
We left Burrill Lake at 9:40am heading south to our first stop at the Saturday markets at Moruya. On the way we passed a very bad accident that we understand had a fatality. A car had left the road and hit a tree. The tree had penetrated the vehicle as far as the driver’s seat.
We spent 45 minutes at the markets and purchased some donuts. We left our small group and continued through to Narooma where we were able to register at the caravan park without having to wait too long. It did take a long time to get onto our site due to narrow roads and congestion from other members of our group who arrived before us and we finally had to manoeuvre the caravan between two permanent vans onto our site.
After doing our setup, we shopped at Woolworths before returning for a very late lunch. “She” did some more shopping at an IGA which is located across the road from our camp site.
The group had the usual happy hour later in the afternoon. We were invited to join another couple for the evening meal, and we had chicken that had been purchased from Woolworths with pasta salad. We returned to our caravan at 10:00pm.
