11 April 2022 – Sydney to Wagga Wagga NSW

Stone the Crows Festival, a festival over Easter that we have attended on 7 previous occasions until COVID stopped the festival in 2020 and 2021.

Several weeks ago, it became apparent that the festival would take place in 2022 so we prepared for the activities that we had committed to.  “She” was “He” was scheduled with helping in several areas.

Intending to drive to Wagga Wagga in one day, we departed our home close to 9:20am with an estimated arrival at our destination of 3:00pm talking stops into consideration.

Our first stop was at Suttons Forest where we had an early lunch, Yass was the second stop for fuel, and we stopped just short of our destination at the Foodworks at Forest Hills for some essential food items including our evening meal.  Our arrival time into Wagga Wagga was at 3:20pm so we were happy with the trip.

We were amazed to see several changes in the landscape during the trip including a couple of new roadhouses as well as an expanded windfarm.  The country looked at little dry but there was still evidence of recent rain.

We had some issues getting onto our site as according to the map we were given, there was to be a 6 meter road between us and another RV.  The distance was 6 inches.  We were eventually placed on to another site that was closer to the main auditorium and very flat.

It took a long time to setup after which we had an early evening meal, and we were in bed by 9:00pm totally exhausted.
