Up at 7:00am, breakfast and dishes finished by 9:00am and “He” was in the main auditorium ready to assist with the setup of the sound and video from 9:30am.
A stage was already in place and that belonged to ACTA. The stage was a lot lower than previous years and made it difficult to get underneath to look for connections. “He” tried to interface our video camera to their system without any luck. We had the same problem with a computer but eventually managed to get that to work. Changes have been made since we were last here with the side television screens removed and replaced by rear projectors and retractable screens. They had also placed a camera in the middle of the room that we were able to direct towards the stage. The video camera and tripod that we have carried from Sydney specifically for this event will not be used and “He” does not have a job in the auditorium other than operating the system they now have and that take about 4 minutes each day. “He” will still have to aid with any presentation that requires the use of technology.
We attended a happy hour at 4:30pm before returning to our caravan for the evening meal of chicken, eggs, and salad.
Still tired, we had another early night to bed.
