2 May 2022 – Bridgewater Vic to Gundagai NSW

Up at 6:00am and ready to leave at 8:00am.  Having packed away most of the outside equipment late yesterday, our departure setup was quick and easy.

“He” punched our next destination into the GPS and soon we found ourselves heading to Bendigo and the back roads to Seymour where we re-joined the Hume Highway.  We stopped on the outskirts of Bendigo and contacted Sydney RV Centre and made arrangements to return the caravan on Thursday for them to fix the water leak. (They confirmed the appointment later in the day but only after we had to make another call when they failed to call when indicated).

We had an early lunch at Maccas and then except for a stop for fuel, we continued to our overnight stop at Gundagai.

On our way to Woolworths to purchase our evening meal, we stopped at the Visitor Information Centre where we were given information about a statue of “Dad & Dave” that was located adjacent to the Visitor Centre.

We had booked an ensuite site so we both had the opportunity to have a longer than usual shower.

We also had a clear RAT test to make sure we were safe to return home.

We had a quiet night and another early night in bed.
