29 April 2022 – Bridgewater VIC

We didn’t set the alarm and awoke at 7:20am.  The night had been warm.

We took our time to have breakfast and left Bridgewater at 10:30am and drove to Bendigo and the Bendigo Pottery Works where we had brunch and “She” purchased a nice salt and pepper shaker.

We returned via Chemist Warehouse at Eaglehawk where “She” was able to purchase a perfume that was high on the list of items to be acquired.  We also found an IGA at Maiden Gully where we purchased so groceries.

Returning to Bridgewater, we continued onto the next town called Inglewood where we had been told had the closest supermarket.

Returning to our camp site, we grabbed cameras and did a walk around the caravan park and the adjacent Loddon River.  We were very conscious of the weather forecast which was for rain and storms, expected to be severe.  The rain did not start until we were well into happy hour and for a short time, was torrential.

Before the rain started to be heavy, we decided to buy our evening meal.  Inglewood had takeaway food stores, so we decided to drive the short 8ks to purchase something.

The torrential rain started when we were halfway there, all the shops were closed so we returned to a makeshift meal in the caravan.

The rain eventually stopped in the early hours of the morning.
