Our day started early with both of us heading outside to assist with cooking of breakfast. Several of us cooked sausages, bacon, eggs, toast and bake beans which were enjoyed by everyone.
Much to our surprise our caravan was chosen as the best decorated as we were unaware that we had met the criteria chosen for this event. Apparently, our inside lights tipped the scales.
We left the campsite for a late lunch in Corrimal. It was trying very hard to rain and the forecast was for a 40% chance of rain and a thunderstorm, possibly severe.
Drone flight later in the day to capture our entire camp site as pictures on the previous day missed a couple of RV’s.
Happy hour and the evening meal outside with the latter interrupted by the arrival of a storm. Winds estimated to be around the 100k mark, and the wind destroyed most of the tens that had been erected near us. Our members had to hold down 3 shelters that had been erected for our event. The storm was violent but did not last a long time. Looking at the weather radar, it appeared that the strongest part of the storm line that extended from the north of Sydney to Kiama in the south was very close to our location.
