The wind started during the early morning. The decision to lower the stabilisers was justified and the only thing we needed to do was to lower the television antenna.
We stayed in bed for an additional 30 minutes after the alarm sounded in no hurry to do anything. Today had always been planned to be a recovery day after the National Muster with the only activity being a visit to Naracoorte Caves. “She”, being not well ,and with “He” having done something to his knee on the last day of the muster, was enough to cancel those plans.
We did however drive to the caves and once we saw the ladders required to enter a cave, the decision to return to our caravan was easy. As we returned, light rain started to fall.
We purchased bread, milk, tissues, and lunch from McDonalds before returning to the caravan where we had a quiet afternoon. We also purchased more cold and flu tablets from a pharmacy. “He” is now coming down with the cold.
It was still very windy in the afternoon with the occasional burst of rain. This continued well into the night.
We had a light evening meal and retired early for the warmth of the bed.
We also set all our clocks forward 30 minutes to transition to Eastern Summertime when we awoke the following day,
Our colds are getting worse.
