The night was warm and uncomfortable.  We had a roof vent open, the air conditioning was running on fan, and “She” opened one of the windows at 4:00am.

It started to rain lightly just after 7:00am and once the alarm sounded at 7:30am, we both got up.  “He” decided to make an early trip to the amenities block and midway through the short walk, the heavens opened. After “He” returned, the temperature combined with the humidity provided drying power for slightly damp clothing.

We showered in the caravan after breakfast and then prepared for a visit to the old mining area of Catherine Bay Hill where we also planned to have lunch at the hotel.  Before arriving at the destination, we refuelled the Navara.  Fuel was $2.16cpl.

We had lunch at the hotel outside in a covered area with no cooling other than fans.  Much to our surprise, the pub had no veggies to offer with meals and had a single serve of nachos.  The meals we had were fine but without veggies, but “She” was not entirely happy.

We had a look around the new residences being built in the area and decided that it would be a good place to live with almost everyone building 2 storey houses with ocean views.  The area is very opulent.

Returning to our campsite, we had another long happy hour but were conscious of the weather forecast for storms.  All the late afternoon storms missed us but our trivia later in the evening was stopped by the rain from a storm.

“She” won at bingo.
