It was close to 11:30pm when we went to bed and for the first time in almost a week, we both slept well with little disruption in sleep from coughing. In fact, we slept so well it was after 8:00am when we emerged from bed.
Today had always been planned as a “rest and recovery” day following the full day at the railway.
We shopped at Brayside in the morning purchasing what food we need to allow us to return to Sydney. We had ham and tomato on buns for lunch and then another trip to Coles at Brayside to purchase what we had forgotten in the morning. We were also able to purchase diesel at $2.07cpl which was a very good price.
With showers and the chance of a storm forecast for the afternoon and evening, we decided to spend the remainder of the day in the caravan. With showers expected tomorrow, “He” added some water to our water tank and packed away the freshwater hoses and fittings. That will save time tomorrow when we plan to depart Melbourne and start the trip home.
We watched television until late.
