7 October 2023 – Braybrook VIC

It was dry overnight, and we woke to cloud cover in the morning.  The temperature at 7:00am was 10 degrees.

After having our breakfast, we repacked the rear seat of the car after extracting our clothes for the visit tomorrow to the Diamond Valley Railway.  Our trip tomorrow will take about 45 minutes to drive, so it was better to prepare today rather than tomorrow morning.

Today we planned to leave at 11:00am for our trip to Doncaster East where we were meeting friends for lunch.  We left at 11:05am for a 35-minute trip.  Melbourne traffic in our opinion is terrible, and our 35-minute drive took us just under an hour.

We stopped at our friend’s house, left the car and we all walked to a hotel just a short walk away.  Our friends we had met in Switzerland and today we enjoyed lunch together.

Returning to their home, we spent the remainder of the afternoon looking at YouTube videos of Swiss train trips.

We left to return to our campsite at 6:00pm and the return trip also took an hour.  Fortunately, we had a couple of microwave meals in the freezer, so tea was quick to prepare.

After tea, “He” watched television whilst “She” read.

We were in bed with the lights out just before 11:00pm.
