We both slept well as found it easy to get out of bed when then alarm sounded at 6:00am.
We were ready to leave at 8:00am for a 40-minute trip to the Diamond Valley Railway where we volunteer.
To summarise the day at the railway is simple, we worked on the station dealing with both departing and arriving trains, then, for an hour, “She” managed the station where a birthday party was being conducted, “He” setup a locomotive and undertook shunting to connect carriages and then a test run around the site, and “He” did some ticket scanning on a new system being trialled. It was a tiring but enjoyable and rewarding day.
We left the railway just after 5:30pm and had a trouble-free run to our campsite arriving back at 6:30pm.
We enjoyed leftover chicken and pork for our evening meal that was supplemented with potato and a delicious gravy.
We watched television for a short period after tea before heading to bed for a well-earned rest.
