The alarm sounded at 7:00am and we pressed the “sleep” button a couple of times before getting out of bed at 7:10am. We were surprised to see the sun coming in through a window where the blind had been left up slightly to allow for air flow. When we prepared for this trip, we took a long time to decide on what would be placed on the bed to keep us warm. Last night proved that exercise unwarranted as the donah found its way to the base of the bed. We were warm with the van closed due to the rain.
We had the opportunity to join others for a breakfast in a café but decided against having brought our breakfast from home and as we cannot have one of the items at home due to our grandsons’ allergies.
Rain had been forecast for today, but it was dry when we awoke. It would remain that way until the evening.
After breakfast we contacted our friends and ask if they would like to join us for coffee “somewhere”. We departed at 10:30am and after having to return to collect “his” wallet, we eventually made our way to Charlestown and the food court in a shopping centre. On the way we stopped to by a lubricant for our caravan door as the driving rain had caused issues with the lock on the caravan door.
We enjoyed lunch and finally coffee and then headed towards Newcastle. Just before arriving in Newcastle, the GPS unit decided to reboot in the same manner as the failure yesterday.
We returned to our caravan park, and “He” called Hema about the GPS. They answer our call by saying hello and “his” name. Our previous calls to Hema have been logged with the name attached. The call didn’t last long with Matt telling us that there was a software bug in a recent update to the GPS. We updated the GPS just before leaving home. There was no time given for the fix and we were not the first to call.
We attended a happy hour at 4:00pm before returning to the caravan for our evening meal just after 6:00pm. There were stars visible in the sky, but we did have one quick shower of rain in the evening. We had a quiet night watching television and catching up on emails.
