4 May 2024 – Belmont NSW

We should set our alarm for the time we really want to get up as once again, we pressed the snooze button several times before rising.

The morning was bright and sunny, but the weather reports indicate that is about to change with increasing rain expected later today and continuing until next weekend before there is any relief.

We learnt that the ACC Director’s Muster at Budgewoi had been cancelled due to flooding in the area the ACC was to occupy and that made “Him” very happy as the ACC did not want the Slickers muster to go ahead as it conflicted with the director’s muster.  “He” was the one that had approved the Slickers muster with the approval being according to the ACC muster approval guidelines.

“He” spent the morning in the camp kitchen with a friend planning a trip to Queensland in May 2025.  We then left to travel to the Belmont Golf and Bowls Club where we enjoyed lunch before our group participated in lawn bowls.

We returned to our campsite later in the afternoon and had a quick happy hour with several of the group.

Toasted sandwiches for tea and then television until 11:00pm.  The evening was interrupted with heavy rain from time to time and fain continued overnight.
