We went to bed just before 11pm last night not knowing how the blankets we had chosen would work. We now know they are fine. “She” had a great sleep, and “He” had to toss the donna off due to being too hot.
We awoke to a fine sunny day with the forecast of showers. Today, plans had been made to visit friends who had moved to Canberra from Sydney a little over a year ago. Arrangements made were to arrive at their home for lunch at 12:30pm. We had decided that it would be fruitless to sightsee in the morning, so we took a long time to have breakfast and then ready ourselves for lunch. We did decide to invest some minutes with a quick visit to a supermarket to purchase items we needed for the next couple of days.
We headed to Dickson at 11:00am where we found a Coles supermarket and the groceries we needed for the coming days. Returning at 11:45am to our caravan, we filled the freezer with several frozen meals and some nut-based ice cream that we cannot have at home.
We arrived at our friends house a little earlier than planned and we were able to get off-street parking with the maximum street parking available in the surrounding area being for 2 hours.
We enjoyed a wonderful lunch before leaving at 4:15pm to find a post office where a present was to be posted to one of her relations at Gunnedah.
On our return trip to the caravan park, we managed to take the wrong turn and a trip that should have taken 13 minutes took close to 30 minutes. Light rain was falling.
We had our evening meal in the caravan park’s restaurant where for the second night we enjoyed their super supreme pizza washed down with a local brew.
We watched television before heading to bed at 10:45pm. We were disappointed with the result from the final of Masterchef as we were both hoping that the Tasmanian butcher, Josh Perry, would win. He made one small mistake, and the result is now history. Prior to going to bed, our air conditioning kept us warm in the caravan.
