We both had our best sleep since leaving home. Our sleep was only spoilt by the alarm sounding at 6:30am.
We left at 8:45am for the short drive to the Diamond Valley Railway where we spent the day. “He” setup a train (checking all aspects of the engine including oil, fuel and general operation) and then did 2 laps of the circuit under supervision and another lap without supervision.
At the end of the day, “He” put the train away which involved shunting and then a short trip back to the train shed. “She” spent the day working on the station and interacting with both members and visitors.
We joined other members for an evening meal at the Montmorency Eltham RSL Club before returning to our camping site where we had late dessert (crème caramel with a use by date of today). “She” headed to bed early whilst “He” stayed up to watch the Hungarian F1 Grand Prix, which was won by the Australian driver, Oscar Piastri.
