For the first time since leaving home, “He” spent the entire night covered by the doona whilst “She” threw it off.
With the forecast of rain, we had not made plans for today other that a quick trip for some groceries. The Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games had also been recorded.
We also decided to go home via Canberra, and we booked a night in the Alivio Tourist Park. Canberra to our home will take a little over three hours so we can manage our arrival to get home before the afternoon school traffic rush.
With very cold weather forecast for tomorrow, “He” discovered that all the thermals he had brought were long sleeved and “He” really required a short sleeved.
We took a short deviation off our grocery shopping trip and managed to purchase a couple of tee shirts that will provide the warmth of a thermal.
We purchased a chicken for our evening meal.
Returning to the campsite, we used our air fryer for the first time and cooked some cocktail frankfurts. The air fryer fits perfectly in our small kitchen, and it did a great job in warming / cooking the frankfurts.
The rain started just after lunch and we spent the afternoon watching the replay of the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony which, in his opinion, was one of the best opening ceremonies in modern history. Paris has certainly raised the bar with the ceremony not being conducted in a stadium and over numerous locations in Paris.
We continued watching the games until late into the evening. The rain continued to fall.
