6 October 2024 – Echuca VIC

Before we went to bed, we decided that due to the introduction of daylight savings, we would spend an extra hour in bed, so we set the alarm for 8:00am knowing very well that 8:00am today was 7:00am yesterday so we had no gain from additional sleep.

“She” had another bad night having to sit up from just after midnight. We are about 3 days apart with the flu or whatever it is.

We had a quiet day planned as the rest of the group were all “doing their own thing”. “She” wanted to have a long shower so it was agreed that “He” would visit the miniature railway we noticed yesterday.  And that is what we did.  The railway can be described as a small miniature railway operated once a month by a handful of members.  They charge $4 per ride or $10 for the whole day.  Today they were running three trains.

After returning to the caravan, we headed back into Echuca and purchased lunch from Subway.  We also stopped at a couple of shops before returning to the caravan where we spent the afternoon prior to heading back to Rotary Park for happy hour and our farewell to the group we have been travelling with.

We purchase some grilled fish for our evening meal and we both agreed that the fish was perfectly cooked and very enjoyable.

Television in the evening, “The Voice” on the television and the “NRL Grand Final” via the internet. It was good to see Penrith win.
