The rain did interrupt our sleep pattern with heavier showers from time to time waking us. When the alarm sounded at 7:00am, we were happy to press the snooze button until 7:30am when we finally made our way out of bed.
The organisers of the muster had planned a morning of bare foot bowls at the Belmont Golf and Bowling Club. Neither of us had registered for the event but had made it known that we would fill in if there was a shortage.
We provided transport for two of our friends leaving the caravan park at 9:45am and heading to the golf club. Eventually we were asked to fill in and from just after 10:30am until 12:15pm we played bowls.
At the conclusion of bowls, we all enjoyed lunch from the club’s bistro before returning to our camp site just after 3:00pm.
Happy hour started at 3:30pm and went through until after 6:00pm. Members were asked if they would like to see a movie after tea just there were no takers.
We headed back to the caravan for our evening meal. Fortunately, the rain had stopped and many of those attending started to decorate their vehicles. We will wait and see what the weather does before committing to decorate the exterior of the caravan.
We watched television until close to 11:00am expecting to have another hot night in bed. Once again, we left a fan running but tonight we opened roof vents with our fingers crossed it would not rain.
