There was rain overnight and we needed to close the vent. We didn’t think there was much rain during the night but the amount of water on the ground proved us wrong.
We had set the alarm for 7:30am but got up a few minutes later.
Breakfast was followed by showers in the caravan and then we invited friends for morning tea. Before they arrived, we packed the prises for a trivia night that “He” is hosting tonight.
Just before lunch “He” attempted to fly the drone, but the attempt was abandoned when the wind attempted to take the drone out over Lake Macquarie. There was bit of a struggle to return the drone to the shore and the drone was landed after a couple of pictures were taken. We will try to fly later in the week if the wind intensity reduces.
We had a quiet afternoon until attending our happy hour which was a game of Finska. The game was cut short when a storm hit the caravan park. We had adequate warning of the approaching storm and that gave us time to put down our awning. The storm passed quickly and comprised thunder, lightning and heavy rain. In hindsight, we could have left the awning out as there was not wind.
We had another salad for our evening meal and then “He” ran a trivia night. Everyone enjoyed the night and there were no complaints about the questions.
We rehydrated on our return to the caravan and then watched a little television before bed.
