We had the best sleep since leaving home. The caravan was a little cooler than previous nights with that fact contributing to our sleep.
The alarm sounded at 6:45am but we stayed until 7:00am knowing that all we needed to do was to get dressed, take our meds and be ready to go out for breakfast at 8:30am.
We collected our friends at 8:30am and drove to a café called Star Anise at Belmont. Parking was at a premium, but we managed to find a spot in a car park about 100 meters from the café.
Breakfast could only be subscribed as great. The food was great, the coffee was great, and the service was exceptional. We spent about 1.5 hours there before heading back to our caravan.
We had a quiet remainder of the day until 3pm when we met with other members who are joining us on our tagalong next year. One of the members has been researching the possibility of a flight to Cape York and options were presented to the group.
We played cards after the meeting and enjoyed our afternoon happy hour at the same time.
We had a late evening meal before returning to the area we have been using for more cards well into the evening.
Television on our return and for once, a late night to bed.
